The 3rd International Conference on Modern Trends in Education entitled “New Methods in Promotion of Natural Sciences Among Young People or Science is Fun” will be held from 6th to 7th November 2008 in Olomouc, under a kind aegis of Palacky University. “Problems with the Lack of Interest in Natural Sciences from Members of Young Generation” was adopted as a subtitle for this year. This aspect will be discussed from the point of view of new trends in education, search for new educational methods, and revealing beauties hidden in such “nowadays unpopular fields” like mathematics, physics, chemistry or biology to young people. The attention will be paid to the importance to re-establish the previously lost prestige of natural sciences at all stages of education – from the University school student to high school, secondary and primary school pupils.
